Leo, Dan, James, and Louis enjoying a cool summer arvo (afternoon).
Another Sunday spent out with friends at the Bank Hotel and what a better way to do that than with a drink and my mates to share it with. Being a native Aussie, it sometimes fly’s over my head how blessed we are as a country. Despite all the ‘lovely’ creepy crawly critters you hear Australia is abundant in, there are few things you fault about our sun burnt country. We have a unique sense of relaxedness that many would mistake for laziness – however we’re not the kind of people to shun away from a hard day’s work. Hardly; we just like to take things easy, have a laugh, and enjoy the day as it comes. One of the things I love most about the Bear Community is how our Aussie roots and dispositions transfer over into the community.
We are some of the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet, we are fiercely loyal to our own, and we are not afraid to stand up for what is right and just. So this week’s question put out to the Bears at the Bank was one that enabled them to express their pride – “What’s the best thing about the Australian Bear Community?”
Abe “It’s all about mateship. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.”
Sam “We’re all just a great bunch of people to get along with. Say hi, we don’t bite.”
Matt “They are welcoming to people regardless of sex, sexuality, age. The bear community is my home!”
Louis “They’re friendly, like Australians, and they’re gorgeous, like bears.”
Tom “It has a sense of connectivity. Even thought we live so far apart, we are still so close.”
